I am selective about my clientele, and in turn, my clientele is selective about their therapist. Rather than a high-volume, high-traffic office, I work with a limited number of clients in a small office and/or online. Through the utilization of a purposefully limited caseload, I am able to provide dedicated, high-quality therapy.
Have you ever heard the phrase "Jack of all trades; Master of none"?
Sometimes counselors will state they "specialize" in working with clients of all ages, any population, and/ or individuals, couples, families, and groups. They may even feature an exhaustive list of issues they treat. While it is possible for one therapist to adequately treat a myriad of conditions, I prefer to focus on a few areas of professional passion.
I prefer to be - "Master of a few areas, Disappointing in none."
